Requesting Support
Student Employment
The ITS Support Center provides help and assistance to UNM faculty, staff and students on the Main and South Campuses for networking or computer-related issues. You may also contact the ITS Support Center if you are not sure where to go for help with an issue, regardless of your location.
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, year 'round (except Holidays)

Requesting Support
There are several ways to get help from the ITS Support Center:
- Search FastInfo First
- Ask a Question
- Initiate a Live Chat
- Request a Callback
- Telephone the Support Center
- Visit the Support Center
Before contacting the Support Center, search the FastInfo knowledge base to see if ITS staff has already answered your question. FastInfo is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from wherever you have Internet access.
To search the FastInfo knowledge base now, enter your search term(s) below and click Search:
Ask A Question
If you don’t find the answer to your question in the FastInfo knowledge base, you can submit your question on the FastInfo Ask A Question page.
The question will be forwarded to a ITS analyst who will respond within one business day. You can track the progress of your request from the My Info page.
Initiate a Live Chat
During normal business hours, you can chat live with an ITS computer specialist. Make sure you select Computing as the category when requesting assistance, so that you will be routed to the correct specialist. You can also initiate a live chat from FastInfo.
Request a Callback
Complete the Callback Form to have an ITS specialist call you back.
Telephone the Support Center
You can telephone the ITS Support Center at 277.4848 with computer-related questions anytime during normal business hours. For emergency support outside normal hours, call 277.4646. (Note: emergency calls will only be accepted if a department, building or other large population is affected by the problem. For general questions, please submit a question or callback request through FastInfo.)
Visit the Support Center
If you prefer, you can visit the ITS Support Center at 2701 Campus Blvd. It is located next to the parking structure, opposite La Posada.
Student Employment
The ITS Support Center relies on student employees to help answer the telephones and respond to questions submitted through FastInfo. Openings for student employment are advertised at the Student Employment website.
You can also download a Student Employment Application Form, complete it, and return it to the ITS Support Center, Room 1005A 2701 Campus Blvd.
